March 28th and 29th - Work Party!
We are able to keep our fees low by the efforts and work that volunteers are able to comtribute to camp on an annual basis. We have a tremendous amount of projects that need to be completed and because of the usage of camp our time is limited. Projects that are on our list include:
Yurt foundation platform
Field storage shed
Gaga pit (game space)-Comcast employees
Raised garden bed for farm to table camp program
Library houses for summer learning loss assistance
General camp cleanup
We have a beautiful camp facility that has been able to serve diverse user groups and a tremendous amount of youth. We hope that you are able to contribute your time and efforts so that we can continue the tradition of YMCA camping. If you could please RSVP to email@example.com if you are able to attend so that we can provide food for your hard work and effort that would be greatly appreciated. Days will begin at 8:00 am, and will will go until folks have exhausted their energy for the day.
We appreciate and help or support that you are able to contribute.

YMCA Summer Resident Camp Programs 2015
Camper Forms are available in our Download Center.
YMCA Camp Bishop is a traditional YMCA summer camp program committed to ensuring a positive and safe camping experience for each child. Our mature, well-trained counselors are outstanding role models. They are trained as mentors who put campers first, helping our campers to grow in independence, confidence, and self esteem.
Our Facilities foster the friend-making emphasis of our mission and programs. The beautiful waterfront setting and attractive cabins and lodges blend well into what we do best. In a relaxed, beautiful wooded setting, on the edge of the lake, we don’t only enjoy recreation; we aim to “re-create” in the Great Outdoors. Our Legacy extends beyond a summer. The values learned in such a fun and friendly place live even beyond the memories.
Email questions about our summer camp programs, activities, and life at camp to Tim Webb.
New this year: All weeks are open to all grades, K-9
Look for updates with all information and registration links.
Pioneer Mini Camp: Grades K-1
A great introduction to resident camp! Pioneers enjoy all the magic of camp participating in traditional camp activities: canoeing, swimming, inner tube rides, campfires, and fun in the great outdoors.
Resident Camp: Grades 2-9
The YMCA Resident Camping Program encourages friendship, cooperation, tolerance and teamwork with a group living environment. Campers are assigned cabins according to their age, gender, and friend request preferences. The values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility are at the core of every activity. Camp duties and activities are scheduled and undertaken as a cabin group. However, campers also have the option of signing up for programs independent of their cabin. Sign up today and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime at Camp Bishop this summer!
Choose your programmable activities when you register.
Plan to learn which programmable activities your child will participate in when you check in at camp. We call them programmable because they will change according to campers' skill levels and interests. Simply complete the Camper Registration Form next to their favorite programs and we will enroll them in their top choices according their registration date.
Please mail or drop off your form to the YMCA of Grays Harbor if registering online.
Programmable Activities include:
Arts & Crafts
Bouldering & Slacklining
Canoeing (including a fully restored large canoe)
Field & Court Sports
Low Ropes Course
Orienteering & Hiking
Alternative Daily Programs
Join graduated members of the Montesano High Drill Team for Cheer Camp.
Participants with little or lots of experience will learn techniques including hand position, toe touch, stretching, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle through games, cheers, and learning and performing the Camp Dance, 90 minutes daily, Monday through Thursday. Camp participants will also enjoy a host of other supervised activities, and build friendships in an atmosphere that only resident camp can offer. Campers will have opportunity to choose different evening programs along with other campers.
Check out their fantastic performance after a week with Bubbles!
Campers join our dedicated staff, including certified lifeguards and coaches with years of experience, for 90 minutes of daily training and a practice biathlon/triathlon on Thursday. Campers can choose events they would like to compete in for a timed 1/4 mile swim, 1 mile run, and 3 mile bike legs. Campers must supply their own swim goggles, bike (with tires appropriate for gravel and pavement) and helmet to participate. Campers will have opportunity to choose different evening programs along with other campers.
Sports Camp participants will have 90 minutes of daily sports action including baseball, basketball, (flag) football, and soccer. Staff, coaches, and community volunteers will highlight sportsmanship and fair play along with technique and competition to help campers learn and improve skills and confidence on the field and court. Participants are encouraged to bring personal protective and other gear for sports they participate in. Campers will have opportunity to choose different evening programs along with other campers.
