YMCA Summer Camp Programs

Our Summer Camp Brochure has all of the details!
YMCA Camp Bishop is a traditional YMCA summer camp program committed to ensure a positive and safe camping experience for each child.  Our mature, well-trained counselors are outstanding role models.  They are trained as mentors who put campers first, helping our campers to grow in areas of independence, confidence, and self esteem.

Our Facilities foster the friend-making emphasis of our mission and programs. The beautiful waterfront setting and attractive cabins and lodges blend well into what we do best. In a relaxed, beautiful wooded setting, on the edge of the lake, we don’t only enjoy recreation; we aim to “re-create” in the Great Outdoors. Our Legacy extends beyond a summer. “The values learned in such a fun and friendly place live even beyond the memories.”

Y Camp Fund-raising

New this Year!  Campers can earn their way to camp by participating in the YMCA Camp Bishop “Slide-A-Thon”.

Here’s how it works:

·       Once camper is registered for camp, they pick up a form from the YMCA desk staff or print from the website.
·       Camper chooses a convenient day & time (must be during recreation swim with open slide hours) to complete their trips down the slide.
·       Camper then gets sponsors to pledge an amount per slide and/or total pledge for number of slides completed.
·       Camper brings their form to the YMCA pool deck supervisor on the day of their fund-raiser, completes their activity and has their form signed by YMCA staff.
·       Camper contacts sponsors and collects pledges.  All money turned in goes towards the cost of camp.
